Intel has just launched a number of desktop and laptop computer processor chips through their 13th generation Raptor Lake processor chip series, and has recently shown a number of offerings that will be introduced in the future.
The latest is the Intel Core i9-13900KS, which is said to be the fastest Intel Core processing chip to date. Jason Xie, Head of Technical Gaming Marketing demonstrated this processing chip through their Intel Xtreme Tuning software, which showed one of the Performance cores of this processing chip reaching speeds of 6.0GHz.
What's interesting about this is that aside from using the Intel Z790 motherboard required for overclocking capabilities, this processing chip also only uses the usual Corsair liquid cooler to get those speeds.
Jason said that this 6.0GHz speed depends on various aspects such as the temperature of the environment, the motherboard and the cooler used and so on. But this is quite interesting because it shows that processing chips with a speed of 5.0GHz and above have become a norm.
For now, Intel has not yet confirmed when they will show this Raptor Lake-S series processing chip, but it is expected to be introduced in the near future.
