Valve Will Hold Dota 2 Tournament in Bali, Note the Schedule!

Good news for Dota 2 fans in Indonesia. The reason is that Valve will hold the Major Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023 tournament in Bali.

This was conveyed directly by Valve on Steam, as quoted by us, Tuesday (10/1/2023). It's just that, the Bali Major itself will be the closing of the 2023 DPC series of events, apart from the Five Majors and the Berlin Major.

They revealed that one of the biggest Dota 2 tournaments, started with the Winter Tour. The competition itself has been held since January 5 2023 and ends in February 2023.

If you look at the order, after the Winter Tour is over, the Berlin Major will continue. Only after that the peak was on the Island of the Gods, Bali, Indonesia.

"Once all three Tours in the DPC Season are over, the final road to The International begins. The top 12 teams that earn the most DPC points during the Tour are guaranteed a spot in The International," wrote Valve.

Valve said that during the holding of this prestigious event, several underdog teams often gave surprises. They unexpectedly get to compete for Aegis The International, and a huge total of cash prize money.

It is known that the Bali Major itself is scheduled from June 30 to July 9 2023. This tournament will be hosted by IO Esports.

Apart from trying to enter a slot at The International, all teams are also competing to win billions of rupiah in cash prizes at DPC 2023. At least Valve has prepared a total of up to USD 500 thousand or around IDR 7.7 billion.

For those who don't know, it was only last year that Indonesia hosted the IESF 14 World Championship Bali 2022. The location chosen was also in Bali.

Coincidentally, as the host, Indonesia successfully won the Dota 2 world title. At that time, Garuda managed to defeat the Philippines in the grand final round.
