TikTok seems to be developing a feature to help users who are so preoccupied with scrolling that they forget to sleep. The application made by Bytedance is currently testing a new feature that can remind users to sleep.
Through the 'Sleep Reminders' feature, TikTok users will be able to set reminders that will give a warning when bedtime is near and silence notifications during bedtime.
From the screenshot shared by Watchful.ai, this Sleep Reminders feature will appear under the 'Screen Time' setting in the TikTok application. Lucky users selected for the trial will see a 'Sleep Reminders' option in the settings.
After selecting that option, TikTok users can set their sleep time every day. Then TikTok will remind the user that his bedtime is approaching and to close the application immediately.
TikTok will also mute incoming push notifications for seven hours after the selected bedtime to help users avoid distractions, as quoted from TechCrunch, Tuesday (10/1/2023).

A TikTok spokesperson confirmed that it is currently testing the feature with select users globally. The short video app also said they are constantly developing new ways to support their users' digital health.
So far, TikTok already has several features to support users' digital well-being and reduce screen-time. In February 2020, they released a feature to adjust the user's screen-time.
Last year, TikTok also released a feature that makes it easier for users to control how much time they can spend on TikTok by setting reminders to take short breaks. Users can choose which reminders appear every 10, 20, or 30 minutes, or can be customized as desired.
TikTok also restricts notifications at night for teens. Users aged 13-15 will not receive notifications from 9:00 p.m., while push notifications for users aged 16-17 will be turned off from 10:00 p.m.
