Apple Predicted to Sell Foldable iPhone in 2026

Yesterday, CAD drawings for a foldable iPhone were leaked showing dimensions similar to the Z Flip device but with a secondary screen like a Z Fold. This rather strange design makes it look like a first-generation Oppo Find N. Today, leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the “iPhone Fold” will be officially launched in H2 2026.

Kuo added that it will be released in limited quantities at the initial stage because it is a first-generation product with widespread and stable supply only happening in 2027. The development of a foldable iPhone has been heard since 2018 with it suffering from several issues such as the screen still having a crease effect and Apple refining the final design.

Yesterday’s CAD drawings confirmed that this foldable iPhone will look like an iPad Mini when opened and a first-generation iPhone when closed. The outer screen is 5.3″ while the inner screen is 7.7″. It will be launched in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the first iPhone.
